A Harvard University School of Public Health study of 10,000 homes in the United States and Canada found half had "conditions of water damage and mold associated with a fifty to one hundred percent increase in respiratory symptoms."
Hurricanes and faulty construction have since increased these health risks exponentially and the most susceptible are young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. This cast a very broad and dangerous net on a large population that may be completely unaware of the source of their illnesses and why they are not able to overcome them.
A mold inspection quite often will reveal the cause of many unexplained illnesses and provide the answers to help in resuming a healthy life!
Some toxic mold related symptoms and illnesses include the following:
- Allergic Reactions - People who suffer from allergies are more likely to experience the serious side effects associated with the presence of toxic mold. The symptoms associated with toxic mold vary from mild bothersome reactions to severe life threatening reactions. The symptoms can range from mild to severe and chronic, meaning that they occur all the time and can be life threatening. Other symptoms include such things as mild skin and eye irritations.
- Pathogenic Infections - Certain types of toxic molds carry pathogens that cause certain types of illnesses in people who are in constant contact with this type of mold. These types of illnesses are usually caused by mold that has been brought into the house by a pet or that has come in around windows and doors.
Toxic mold also produces mycotoxins. These are poisonous substances that can affect the entire body of humans. These mycotoxins can get into the body through a number of sources. The most common form of ingestion is through inhalation. They can be ingested through food or they just simply get on the skin and cause a person to have some form of allergic reaction that cause skin irritations that can be minor or they can be more severe and require immediate medical attention.
These mycotoxins have also been found to cause serious respiratory illnesses. The toxins found in black mold can cause serious damage to the lungs and respiratory system. The problems that most people who suffer from this type of illness experience are breathing problems, stuffy noses and some even experience excessive nosebleeds. There have been reported cases in which people have even been hospitalized for bleeding in the lungs, which can lead to death if not treated quickly and effectively. People are not aware of the fact that toxic mold can cause other serious diseases as well. Research has found that when people are in constant contact with large amounts of black mold suffer from certain types of liver diseases such as necrosis and fibrosis. They experience extreme vomiting and diarrhea.
People who suffer from any or all of the above symptoms and conditions sometimes are unaware of the fact that they are in contact with toxic mold and this is reason why they are sick. They simply blame it on something else or some other kind of allergy. For some people the cause of their illness is not identified until it is too late. This doesn’t have to be the case, take action and “Know For Certain!” |
